Here’s something you may not know about winemakers: we love bourbon. So it really wasn’t a stretch when we set out to combine our love for California winemaking and old school Southern craft distilling. We started with premium Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from Alexander Valley in California’s prestigious North Coast AVA as well as 12% Alexander Valley Merlot and 2% Lake County Petite Sirah. Then, we introduced them to 198 Kentucky bourbon barrels from our friends at Amador Whisky—and Batch No. 198 was born.
