Dark ruby color with a soft red rim. Loads of black currant on the nose with ripe Bing Cherry, baking spice and cedar, with earthy aromas filling out the profile nicely. The palate is medium bodied with a touch of menthol, strawberry, and dried herbs and substantial tannins that mellow as the wine finishes. Drinking very well already, this will be even better with a couple years of bottle age.
The Cabernet Sauvignon from Frog's Leap opens with a richly fragrant nose of luscious black fruit and fresh herbs, followed by a taste progression that captures the essence of the terroir from which it came. Intense flavors of cassis, ripe plum and black currants are punctuated by hints of cedar and tobacco.
